Position: Manager, Brand & Business Development (BBDM)

Location: Work from home. Preferably South Florida.


Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Manager of Brand and Business Development “BBDM” will be to expand the brand profile of our client (a top-flight English Premier League club), in the USA and the rest of the American continent through strategic partnerships and activations.

In order to establish these partnerships with local, national, and international companies the BBDM will have access to integrated sponsorship packages comprised of relevant assets that may include preseason games in the region.

The BBDM’s role will also include becoming the main point of contact in the market for our client, assisting them with a variety of roles, including but not limited to the creation of new and unique packages to go to market, developing new assets to commercialize in coordination with the club, expanding the client/prospect universe as well as commercializing and servicing fully integrated marketing, media, and promotional programs. Some of these programs may include marketing rights, on-premise signage, game sponsorships, promotions, preseason matches in the market, brand activations, marketing events, and media exposure.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Develop, with the help of our client’s Marketing Department, unique and customized proposals for new partnership prospects.
  • Assist client in establishing package values of each relationship.
  • Create, implement and monitor brand partnership activations.
  • Establish strong working relationships with local, national, and international brands to understand their individual marketing and business goals and initiatives.
  • Once partnerships are established, remain as the first point of contact and deliver an “end of season partner recap”, to the extent of the tracking tools that are provided by our client.
  • Identify key open categories and uncover new categories as prospective strategic business leads.
  • Help pitch and negotiate partnership deals.
  • Serve as the “face” in the region for the club.
  • On occasion, assist the club with logistics and coordination of other integrated marketing activities, such as press conferences, media tours, team logistics, player appearances, etc.
  • Work in coordination with our client’s Marketing Department and PSE’s CEO to set, and as necessary, adjust the market strategy.
  • Renew existing corporate sponsorship and media partnerships through continued outstanding service. (If applicable).
  • Work closely with other members of the client’s Front Office to achieve business goals and account management objectives.
  • When needed, work game days (e.g. viewing parties), weekends, and special events to entertain existing partners and new business prospects.
  • Travel to preseason games in the markets to entertain and meet key partners, while activating and fulfilling the club’s commitments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of extensive and proven integrated sales and/or consulting agency experience with demonstrated success in the media, sports sponsorship, or entertainment fields.
  • Outstanding communication skills are essential for interactions with clients, operational leaders, and other senior executives.
  • Demonstrated professional sales pitch skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional knowledge and passion for the sport and culture of football preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Dependable with an understanding of attendance and punctuality.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Possess a sense of urgency with the ability to problem solve while making timely andsound decisions under pressure.
  • Highly proactive, goal-oriented, and motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of the team and deal effectivelywith all levels of the organization.
  • This position requires the ability to travel.

  • Commissions based on client’s brand KPI’s possible
  • Additional commissions on commercial revenues possible

  • Pre-approved expense reimbursement
  • Salary range – $50-55,000 US dollars annually
